Boo!
I hope you're all having a wonderful week! This week, as part of British Lion Eggs egg recipe campaign, I am getting my baking hat on and trying the infamous 'Slutty Brownie' Recipe. This was actually concocted by Rosie from The Londoner a couple of years back (here), and I thought I would try it out myself! We all deserve a little indulgence once in a while, and these brownies are the perfect way to satisfy your sweet tooth!
What you will need
2 Eggs
2 Packets of Oreos
Oil
Water
1 Box of Betty Crocker Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
1 Box of Betty Crocker Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix
A baking tray (or an oven friendly bowl)
Spatula
Mixing Spoon
Knife
Mixing Bowl
Measuring Jug or Tablespoons
First, preheat the oven to 180°C or Gas Mark 4.
Begin by making the cookie mix by pouring it into a mixing bowl. Then add 25ml water (~2tbsp), 65ml oil (~4tbsp) and an egg, and mix it all together. (I had to add the picture of the pig below because...just how cute is my spatula...anyway back to the recipe).
Once you have mixed it all together, you should get a consistency as shown below. You should then grease your baking tray/bowl and spoon + smooth down the entire mixture into the bowl.
After making the cookie mix, you can go ahead and make up the brownie fudge mix by mixing it will the other egg, 40ml oil (2 tbsp) and 75ml water (5 tbsp). Then leave this brownie fudge mix to one side.
The next part is to line up your oreos, which ever way you prefer, on top of the cookie dough.
Having done that, take the pre-made brownie mix, and then pour and smooth it over the entire layer of oreos.
Finally, leave the mixture in the oven for 30 minutes.
After taking it out of the oven, it should be left to cool down before cutting it into chunks.
When you cut out a slice, you should see the delicious gooey chocolate fudge and a cheeky bit of oreo.
And that's it, the most indulgent and delicious brownie is now ready to be enjoyed!
As you can tell I did not use a very sharp knife so these aren't that beautifully presented, but my god did they taste good.
Next time you do any baking, be sure to look for the British Lion stamped eggs, as they show that they have met the EN 45011 international accreditation standard. Their British Lion Scheme is also one of the UK’s most successful food safety stories of effectively eliminating salmonella from Lion Quality eggs produced in the UK. I just used the eggs that were in my fridge the day I baked these, but if you have the chance definitely look for that little lion!

Have any of you guys tried this recipe before? What's the most indulgent dessert you've ever had or made?
