Bimuno Immunaid Review and Giveaway

Boo!

How are we all? It is the last weekend before Christmas! Have you done all your Christmas shopping? The weather in London has been pretty crazy lately, it was freezing a couple of days ago, but now it is so mild I can go out in just a jumper - complete madness! With the weather being so unpredictable it is necessary to make sure that your immune system is maintained. The worst thing would be to be ill during this time of celebration and fun!  I was recently offered the chance to review Bimuno Immunaid's Chewable Pastilles from their bimuno prebiotics range and wanted to share my experience. They have also very kindly sent me a box to giveaway to one of my readers, and I will include more details about it below.

I personally do not have a great immune system and get ill very very easily, worst of all they seem to come at the most inconvenient times e.g. exams etc. So I was very excited to review this product, as although I had not tried it before, I had already heard so many great things about it.

As you can seen from the package, this product is designed to support your immune system, and to provide an immune system boost. Although I have just popped open one of the pastilles in the picture, you should take two a day and it is recommended to be taken after breakfast. The great thing about these pastilles are the fact that they are chewable pastilles, and do not really have a taste. For me this is in a way good news as it means I won't be tempted to snack on them (like on cough sweets...I know, not great haha).

Bimuno's website is so informative, especially their FAQ, and it also states that "published scientific studies have shown that with daily use, the majority of Bimuno users experience an increase in their gut Bifidobacterium within 7 days". I have been taking these pastilles for the past week and a day, and have felt much better. Especially having a week whereby my sleeping schedule has been up-and-down, this could not have come at a better time. Of course I can't say for certain it's not just a psychological effect, but I am definitely going to continue taking these for the next couple of weeks just to ensure that my immune system is in top condition especially as I have exams coming up eek.  Bimuno are also doing a 3 for 2 promotion at the moment.

Whenever I try health products I always look for reviews and testimonials and wanted to share with you all a couple of Expert Testimonials and Celebrity Testimonials:

“Bimuno is a new concept in being able to specifically feed the good bacteria to the detriment of the bad bacteria – if you feed your good bacteria they multiply and control the bad bacteria to help support gut health.” –  Dr Chris Steele, GP and broadcaster

“I have always been conscious of my health when travelling abroad so I was happy to discover the prebiotic Bimuno Travelaid, I really appreciate how vital a healthy gut is for our general wellbeing and immune system.” –  Camilla Dallerup, ballroom dancer (Strictly winner 2008), TV presenter and columnist for BodyFit magazine.

“I travel a lot, as I am a presenter on the Travel Channel and Contributing Editor for Cruise International magazine. I can’t afford to get ill when I go away, so I take Bimuno TRAVELAID before and during the trip, to protect myself against stomach upsets.” Julie Peasgood, Actress, TV presenter and writer

“The best way to beat those winter blues and stop us feeling run down and lethargic, is to build up our immunity. Few people realize that around 60% of our immune system is associated with the gut; with certain types of naturally occurring ‘good’ gut bacteria playing a central role. I’d recommend feeding these immunity supporting gut bacteria with second generation prebiotics such as those in Bimuno IMMUNAID. These prebiotics not only serve as an ideal foodstuff for ‘good’ gut bacteria causing them to grow and flourish but they also help to reduce ‘bad’ bacteria.” –  Dr Ellie Canon, GP and broadcaster

You can find more information about Bimuno and their products via Twitter and Facebook as well.

Nude Sequin Dress | lifeasapetite Outfit #19

Boo!

I hope you've all had an incredible week! My International Giveaway (HERE) to win a gorgeous wooden bangle is still live :)

I went to a carol service a couple of days ago which has definitely put in the Christmas spirit. There's just something about singing with friends and family during this time of year. Although I'm more of a cosy pyjama type of person during Christmas, I do love to dress up once in a while, and amidst all the festivities, I am excited to share with you all my perfect Christmas dress!

Petite Sequin Skater Dress (life as a petite)
Backless Sequin Dress (life as a petite)
Nude Sequin Dress (life as a petite)

I just love the different things we wear during Christmas, you're either all cosy and warm in fuzzy pyjamas, or in funky jumpers or all glammed up in beautiful outfits. And it isn't Christmas without sequins and sparkles. As you may know, I have an obsession with anything sparkly/glittery, so this little number is no exception. Sequins can glam an outfit up instantly, and it's always so gorgeous when they catch the light. I had been looking for the 'perfect' sequin dress for a while, and was so happy to stumble along this one. I was a bit surprised when it arrived though as the description has stated 'Gold' but as you can see it is more of a pink/nude colour. Although I was looking forward to adding a bit of gold to my wardrobe as I do not actually have anything in that colour, I still really like this dress. It's so girly and feminine.

What I love most about this dress is the v-cut back detailing, which is similar to the lace white dress in THIS post. It's a great way of showing a little bit of skin without being too revealing. With the sequins and skater skirt, which will allow you to spin and groove all night, this is my perfect Christmas dress this year.

Mid-Heel Nude Pumps (life as a petite)

As there was already so much going on with the outfit, I wanted to keep it simple by pairing it with some nude shoes. These are the classic Kate Middleton-esque heel. The heel isn't too high meaning it wouldn't be as painful if you were to dance all night in them. The one downside of these shoes are that they can sometimes pinch the sides of your toes, but otherwise they are actually quite comfy. Usual lifeasapetite fashion, I did get these on sale for £15, down from £25! Unfortunately I bought these a couple of years ago so they they aren't in store anymore, but I have linked some similar ones down below.

I hope you liked this little dress. Have you guys decided what you're wearing for Christmas? Are you more of a glam up or cosy pyjama type of person during Christmas?

Take care and speak soon.

Me and Mama Creations International Giveaway!

Boo!

How are you all doing? :) It is no lie that I love fashion, but surprisingly accessories (more in terms of jewellery) rarely appear in my fashion posts. This isn't because I'm not a fan of them but in all honesty it is due to lack of inspiration from my part. I see so many amazing pieces but just can't seem to find the right ones to match my outfit. However, my creativity was recently sparked when I was introduced to Me and Mama Creations.

Lia is the lovely lady who owns this etsy shop and it is just filled with stunning creations from cupcake rings to cross-stitched housewarming gifts, and loom band hair clips. I just love the bright colours, quirkiness and detailing involved. I usually go for more neutral colours, but these bright coloured accessories are the perfect way to liven up any outfit.

I have just listed a couple of items I have particularly fallen in love with. Although the list mainly contains jewellery/accessories, I could not help myself but to include one of her incredibly adorable cross-stitch creations as well.

Lia has also very kindly offered to giveaway this beautiful wooden bangle which will be open worldwide! You can find more information about this giveaway below, and can stay up to date with her creations on EtsyPinterest and Facebook as well.
Colourful Wooden Bangle
