TV // Co-Lab Thursday (Top 5 and John Legend)

Boo!

I hope you're all having a fab week! I'm so sorry for being a bit quiet this week (and I apologise for being quiet the coming few weeks as well). I have revision and exams to blame :( I can't wait till it's all over so I can blog more :)

Although I've not had much time lately to really watch TV, as the topic this week for Co-Lab Thursday is TV I thought I'd share my Top 5 all time favourite shows. Like many I enjoy TV far too much and could spend hours just sitting in front of the TV/computer... not very healthy really...oh well:p  I've also done one TV marathon once before, and never again. I was such a zombie the next morning. I really wouldn't recommend it, unless you don't like sleep, which in my case was a bad move because I love sleep haha.

So anyway onto my 5 favourite shows, in no particular order (Images from Google):

1) Merlin
Okay I lied a little, this first one is in order of preference. Merlin is my all time favourite TV show.  Call me sad or weird, but even though this TV series ended in Dec 2012, I cry thinking that it's never coming back, every time. Do any of you ever feel that way? I hope I'm not the only one:p I've watched each episode numerous times and never get sick of it. I don't know what specifically about Merlin attracts me to it but it's just incredible, the cast, the story...everything...well apart from fact it ended! Let me stop there before I get carried away with ranting ;p

2) HUSTLE
This is another TV series which makes me hate the BBC. The Hustle was amazing. It started with a bang, in my opinion, and finished on such a high. The writers of this TV series are complete geniuses , the cons they come up with are so fantastic it's insane. The worrying thing is, this probably does happen in the real world...

3) SUITS
This totally glamorises the law profession, but it's so good! I can't believe season 3 has ended! I've never been so nervous watching a TV series. The acting is just spot on, and the chemistry between the actors are incredible. There isn't a character I don't like! Can't wait for it to be back in June!

4) SHERLOCK
I actually don't know anyone who hasn't enjoyed Sherlock. It's so clever. Again brilliant writing from the BBC. One complaint though, why are there only 4 episodes per season??? I know they're 1hr30 mins long but...that's not enough! We want more;p Season 4 is planned and scripts are written/have been written, when they'll reach our screens is unknown. I really hope that it's not another 2 years again though...I'm also addicted to the American version of Sherlock. If any of you are missing Sherlock I'd definitely check out Elementary starring Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu.

5) DOCTOR WHO
Just love Doctor Who! I'm a bit of a cheater in sense that I only started getting into it when it came back onto our screens in 2005, so not a die-hard fan, but it's still one of my favourite programmes. I'm not sure how I feel about the new doctor though...Peter Capaldi was Caecillius in  Fires of Pompeii so I'll probably always see him as that...but he was a great in that episode so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt :p

There are so many other shows I enjoy, but I'd be here forever listing them. Hope you enjoyed this post :)

What are your favourite TV shows? I haven't watched Games of Thrones, Breaking Bad or Downtown Abbey etc, am I bad person? Are they really worth watching? I'd love to hear your thoughts and what you recommend! Of course it'll have to be after exams (booo :() but it's something to look forward to :)

Also I just wanted to share one of my current favourite songs to listen to at the moment. I might do this after every post :) It might be a new or old song, depending on what I've been listening to. I would love to hear what songs are your favourite at the moment as well! So for me, I've been loving John Legend's All of Me. It's such a sweet song, and especially as he wrote it for his wife! He's a fantastic singer live as well.

Enjoy the rest of the week everyone :) Take care and speak soon!

  1. Great list of show:) I only seen Sherlock, but only once in a while when it happens to be on TV. Maybe that's why it's a little confusing for me. Haven't seen Breaking Bad either, everyone seems to talk about that show huh. Game of Thrones is good, but I finished the first two seasons, then got caught up with work, and haven't followed since:)
Have you seen the Walking Dead? It's my addiction at the moment:P
