Boo!
I'm probably just being a wimp, but I'm definitely feeling the chills now. Although Summer is coming to an end, and with it turning more chilly I'm still going to share with you all an outfit I wore this summer!
I would also love some advice on which pair of shoes you all think best fits this outfit, or what shoes you would have chosen to pair with this outfit.
Although high-low skirts were seen more frequently last year I still really like them. They probably aren't the best skirt style for petites, however I just love the flowy-ness of them. And as always I chose a neutral coloured one.
I also love scalloped cut on clothes as well. It just adds a little more to a simple white cami like the one I'm wearing. I think it complements the hem of the high-low skirt as well.
So the chose I had were these jelly nude sandals or some denim bow wedges. So I guess the choice was between being a little taller or not :p
I bought these jelly sandals from Primark a couple of months ago for £4 which I thought was pretty good, and they're actually quite comfortable. Also if it is raining there's not worry of them getting soaked :p
In the end I chose to wear the wedges. What do you guys think? Does it look a little strange or do you think it goes? :) Would you have worn sandals, or heels or even converses etc?
Cami: Boohoo // Here
Skirt: Forever21 [Similar: High Low Skirt, Dress]
Wedges: Amazon [Similar: Lower Denim Wedge]
Sandals: Primark
I hope you're all having a fantastic weekend.
Take care and speak soon!

I definitely prefer the wedges. Being of short stature like you, I always go for a bit of height :)
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! I must admit I haven't worn a high low skirt in ages but I probably would have chosen comfort and gone with the sandals. That said, the wedges you chose also look great!! Sitting on the fence much!! Sorry :) xx
ReplyDeleteHoney you look adorable. Love the skirt paired with the top. Perfect. As perfect as the pairing with wedges. It's just my humble opinion but with the sandals there would have been too much going on, the scallop hem of the top is in perfect harmony with the high/low skirt, those two things are the key pieces, it's a perfect match, the sandals with its bow and cuteness would have called too much attention, does it makes sense what I babble, lol. Anyway you look fabulous TT.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday honey

I used to love wedges, but not anymore, hahaha, maybe because I just changed my style and wedges is just not me for the current time. But yes, there were times I was so in love with wedges a lot! I love high wedges (around 7-9 cm) that's good to raise our height and I guess that's the best height I would do if I wear wedges rather than medium height (3-5 cm)
ReplyDeleteAnd anyway, love your outfit, gosh that skirt! So lovely! Were you in holiday?

Have a wonderful day!
The wedges go great. Like you I am petite and often like to add a bit of height via shoes. But I do love my flats. I think either would go but as the skirt has length at the back the wedges would be my choice too.
ReplyDeleteIt is so chilly and Autumnal but it is nice to be reminded of warmer days. Love the jelly sandals from Primark.
ReplyDeleteLove the skirt and the wedges are in my opinion the best option for this outfit, it's what i would wear. I am petite too and know how difficult it is choosing shoes to wear with outfits sometimes.
ReplyDeleteIt's a really pretty look :)

ReplyDeleteI think the black wedges look good with the outfit. Not that I could wear them at 72 with my pronounced limp. Enjoy your youth. You're so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI'm a sandals type of girl and I think they go a lot better. This outfit is lovely though, I do love a asymmetrical skirt haha xx
