Boo!
I hope you've all had an incredible week! My International Giveaway (
HERE) to win a gorgeous wooden bangle is still live :)
I went to a carol service a couple of days ago which has definitely put in the Christmas spirit. There's just something about singing with friends and family during this time of year. Although I'm more of a cosy pyjama type of person during Christmas, I do love to dress up once in a while, and amidst all the festivities, I am excited to share with you all my perfect Christmas dress!
I just love the different things we wear during Christmas, you're either all cosy and warm in fuzzy pyjamas, or in funky jumpers or all glammed up in beautiful outfits. And it isn't Christmas without sequins and sparkles. As you may know, I have an obsession with anything sparkly/glittery, so this little number is no exception. Sequins can glam an outfit up instantly, and it's always so gorgeous when they catch the light. I had been looking for the 'perfect' sequin dress for a while, and was so happy to stumble along this one. I was a bit surprised when it arrived though as the description has stated 'Gold' but as you can see it is more of a pink/nude colour. Although I was looking forward to adding a bit of gold to my wardrobe as I do not actually have anything in that colour, I still really like this dress. It's so girly and feminine.
What I love most about this dress is the v-cut back detailing, which is similar to the lace white dress in
THIS post. It's a great way of showing a little bit of skin without being too revealing. With the sequins and skater skirt, which will allow you to spin and groove all night, this is my perfect Christmas dress this year.
As there was already so much going on with the outfit, I wanted to keep it simple by pairing it with some nude shoes. These are the classic Kate Middleton-esque heel. The heel isn't too high meaning it wouldn't be as painful if you were to dance all night in them. The one downside of these shoes are that they can sometimes pinch the sides of your toes, but otherwise they are actually quite comfy. Usual lifeasapetite fashion, I did get these on sale for £15, down from £25! Unfortunately I bought these a couple of years ago so they they aren't in store anymore, but I have linked some similar ones down below.
