Boo!
I hope you're all making the most of the long weekend and glorious sunshine :) And I hope everyone had a great Easter!
So today I have another outfit you all. I'm not sure whether many people feel the same as I do, but I absolutely hate it when events etc say 'Smart Casual'! I feel, for a girl, it's very difficult to know what to wear. You don't want to underdress but don't want to overdress either. Whereas a guy could go in a shirt and jeans/chinos which would be fine. So I thought I'd share one of my interpretations of 'Smart Casual'.
I really adore the monochrome look. It's so timeless and everyone can wear it well I think! It might seem a little boring but I just feel it's such a classic look :) I also love smart shorts and tie-neck tops. For me, they give a girly yet smart twist to an outfit.
Again I'm wearing my trusty Primark monochrome heels which I wore in these posts: Anniversary Outfit Idea and Business/Work Outfit. I just love them so much. I really want to get a black pair, but then I'd be tempted to get a nude one. I am also tempted to buy a bright coloured one, like a red...No, I've got to refrain myself from going mad haha.
I must sound so boring ahah but I do love neutral/pastel colours. I don't think I particularly suit bright bold colours which is a shame because they're so beautiful esp to wear in summer :( But because of my love for more neutral colours and tie-neck tops, this blouse caught my eye. I just love how soft it looks and also the lace detailing at the back as well, which just gives it a bit more character.

These are actually my first pair of smart shorts - well I say they're smart shorts, they may well not be;p But I got these in Forever 21 in Hong Kong, and as they had a buy one get one free offer, I actually got these shorts for free! I love bargains far too much haha. There's nothing too special about these shorts, just classic black 'smart' ones. But I like how there's a very subtle flare at the leg.

So, my current favourite 'song' to listen to is this instrumental cover of Let it Go. If you love Frozen as much as I do (you can read why I'm so obsessed HERE) do check out this beyond amazing arrangement! These guys are so talented. I first came across Jon Schmidt at a time when I was obsessed with Love Story by Taylor Swift. He did a mashup between Love Story and Viva La Vida by Coldplay, with Steven Sharp Nelson, which is also completely fabulous. You can find it here: Love Story Meets Viva La Vida. Another reason I can't stop listening to/watching them is the fact that you can tell how much they love what they are doing, how much fun they are having, and that there is so much passion and emotion in every video they upload :)
