Summer Dress Bargains #2

Boo!

The weather has been gorgeous lately, and seems to be staying that way (surprisingly)! This can only mean that summer is just around the corner wooohooo - well until after my exams ;p But I can still day dream about the sun, sea, ice-cream... and also wearing summer clothes!

I'd been on the hunt for the perfect sundress for a while now and hadn't found any I particularly liked until recently! I managed to go from 0 --> 4 summer/sun dresses within a few days! Okay, that's a little lie...as I did pick up a summer crochet dress at a bargain price not that long ago, and which I blogged about here. So, to be precise from 1-->5! Finding dresses that fit a petite frame is already difficult, with the added pressure of finding bargains? I just give myself a headache;p But I thought I'd share my recent summer dress purchases :)

I'll have the direct links below :) I apologise for the creases in the pictures, they were like so when I got them out of my bags.

So this first one is from Sheinside. I was a bit dubious about buying from this website because I had been hearing bad things about them...I cannot, however, complain about my experience with them. With it being the first time buying from them, my opinion doesn't really hold much weight but I think first impressions/experiences are really important.

Their website states that standard delivery takes about 5-15 days. As with most people I am very impatient when it comes to waiting for parcels, but this white dress arrived within the time stated (13th day to be precise). What is great abut Sheinside is that they have so many discounts available - I managed to get 20% off this dress :) If I were to criticise though, it'd only be the fact that it doesn't do free returns. But that's not a criticism just for Sheinside, a lot of websites do that which is so frustrating, but that's just me being a complain-er ;p

What I love about this dress is how light it is and the fact that it is white - seems strange I know;p But white is such a perfect colour for spring/summer and is just so so easy to match.

Since I didn't manage to pick up the gorgeous swallow scoop neck dress H&M did last year I'd been looking for an alternative. I'd seen something similar in Topshop but I always feel a little cheated when buying from them because I feel that their items are always so overpriced... So I bought this from Amazon for guess how much?....£7!! A right bargain! Although this dress is quite different to the H&M one I just love the swallow/bird print, and how it has a little string to cinch in the waist :)

I actually went through a phase where I wasn't that keen on H&M, but I've grown to love it again these past few years! They always have the cutest items at a non-extrotionate and reasonable price I think! Like this dress. I actually saw this on their website and was instantly drawn to it as it had that girly summery feel, but then disaster struck - very unnecessarily over dramatic I know;p But they didn't have my size! I was pretty gutted because I really really liked it. So I tried my luck and popped into H&M in person and managed to pick up the very last size 6! I was also very excited because they had it also in White, Black and Mint. I would have loved to buy all 3 but I didn't feel justified especially as I had already bought a white summer dress. So instead I just bought the mint as seen below :)

As mint is one of my favourite colours at the moment I just couldn't resist! I just adore the cut out lace detailing on these dresses.  Because they are so light, they're just absolutely perfect for summer. I wouldn't recommend dark underwear though as it'd show ;p

Pumped up Kicks by Foster the People popped up on my playlist which reminded me of this brilliant cover by Taylor Swift and Zac Efron. If you've not seen it, but love Taylor, Zac or Ellen, I'd definitely give this a listen! The lyrics are so funny - I'm always so jealous of how artists come up with such funny/genius/brilliant lyrics! I wish they'd do a full cover of this song. I actually forgot that Zac Efron sang haha.
