Petite Outfit Idea #3 Monochrome Illusions (Business/Work)

Boo!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and all the mothers were spoilt and were shown how much we love them :)

Today I have a more business/work outfit. As a petite I find it really really hard to find work clothes that fit well, but also without looking as if I am wearing my mum's clothes...

Summer Beach Dress Bargain #1

Boo!

IT'S FRIDAY!! :)

So the weather's been a bit temperamental lately hasn't it? Well it hasn't stopped me from doing a bit of summer online browsing. I was looking for summer outfit ideas when I came across this little summer/breach dress and was thought to myself, I want that;p Unfortunately it was only in US dollars so I was scavenging the internet to find it and I think I've found it, or something very very similar (and also a cheaper version!)

DIY Gift Idea #3: Coffee Jar Crafts (Anniversary Gift Idea) | Lifeasapetite

Boo!

To all you lovers out there, I thought I'd share a little gift I make for my anniversary with J. And the inspiration comes from a simple coffee jar.
DIY Coffee Jar Crafts (Anniversary Gifts) || Life as a Petite
Things you'll need
Coffee Jar
Wrapping Paper/Coloured Paper/Lucky Star Paper
Items that mean most to you and your significant other.
Scissors
Other optional craft tools e.g. glitter glue

It may all seem like a little muddle but I'll try to break it down.

I really like this jar because it basically has two compartments (if you're interested it is the Douwe Egberts Pure Gold Coffee). As I had been making these cute little stars since the day I started dating J (one each day, one jar for each year) I knew I'd fill the main compartment with them. But it was the second smaller compartment that I really liked, because I could fill it up with other special things. So I made a few bracelets and filled it with other things I thought were special.

If you would like to make these for your significant other, then feel free :)

You don't have to fill the jar with stars or bracelets etc, just fill it with anything that you feel is special to your relationship :)

I'd love to see what you guys came up with.

Take care and speak soon :)

Petite Outfit Idea #2 (Formal/Ball)

Boo!

I hope you're all having a fabulous week. Although the weather hasn't been as nice as last week, it's finally Friday wooo and I have another petite outfit for you guys. This is more of a dressy one but I still love it.
Petite Outfit Ideas: Asos Formal/Prom Dress || Life as a Petite

I'm completely in love with pastel colours. I don't know whether I can pull them off really, but I just love them so much as it just gives me such a sunny happy vibe (a little strange of me maybe :p). I'm also in love with clothes with Chiffon material. If I ever became a dress designer most of my dresses would probably have a little bit of chiffon...haha.

So everything I'm wearing was actually a gift, either birthday/christmas/randomly. The dress, shoes and bag were actually something I picked out myself. I like surprises but I don't really want people wasting their money on something I wouldn't use (I don't know whether that sounds mean:s I hope I'm not the only one who does that haaha).

You'd never guess how much I got the dress for and where I got the shoes from...Dress was £12.50 dropped from fifty odd pounds, and the shoes were from...Amazon, would you believe that? I'll be the first to admit that I buy shoes and clothes from amazon sometimes, mainly shoes though. It's probably not the place you'll think to buy fashion items but it has so much stuff there's bound to be something you like. It's always an extra site to have a browse through if you ever wanted some more ideas :)

I'll have the links and some extra photos of the items below just for you to see whether you would want to purchase any of them :)

Little House Decorations

Boo!

Hope you guys are well :) I've always loved homeware and can spend hours just browsing around the homeware parts of shops. They just always have so many amazing, cute or quirky things! And I've recently been obsessed with little home ornaments. Because of this, J bought me two very beautiful ornaments: a little heart ornament and tea light holder (as seen in my Blog Header :)).

I've been nominated for a Liebster Award!

Boo!

I hope you're all having a wonderful week:)
Although I've had this blog for about 8 months I only recently joined twitter, and I wish I'd joined earlier because not only have I learned so much more about blogging, but have found so many amazing and talented people in the blogging community, such as the very lovely Ellie from Ms Ellie Jean who has very kindly nominated me for a Liebster Award!

I hadn't heard of it until I was nominated. The Liebster Award is awarded from blogger to blogger with 200 followers or less, and it is just a great way for people to get to know each other a bit better :) And below are a few rules:

Very First Blogger Header!

Boo!

Yayy! - Two things, one the sun is out again and two I have finally created my very own blogger header!

When reading other blogs I always admire how beautiful their website layout is, especially their Blog Header, and I've always wanted to know how to create them. A few days ago I stumbled across The Blog Guidebook which had a tutorial on how to make a Blog Header. You can find it HERE. It was SO useful, and simple. The two founders of the blog Sarah and Lyndsay introduced me to Pic Monkey which is an incredible FREE site to create your own Header design, or anything else for that matter.

Inspiration for my Header:
I wanted the Header to be simple and reflect me as a person, and I think it does, as I'm a sucker for a bit of romance and homeware ;p
I've been recently falling in love with candles, (and will be doing a blogpost about the candle holders featured in my Header soon) and J had bought me these gorgeous tealight holders which I could not stop photographing. I just loved how simple yet cozy it looked and wanted that same feeling to come across to my readers (I hope it does that!)

So basically I just found something I loved, and kept it simple :)

I would love to hear what you think of my design and would love to see ones that you create.

Take care and speak soon!

STK London Experience - Cheap Cocktails and Steak || Life as a Petite

Boo!

This post is a little late in the sense that they no longer do this offer, but I just wanted so share my experience at STK London, and what an amazing experience it was: a three course meal that consists of a meaty sized steak, and free cocktails for £30 per person? Yes please!

J and I heard about this deal via email from Bookatable so I'd definitely recommend subscribing to their emails to see what good offers are on.

STK is located on the Strand with Temple being the closest station. On the website it says it is a five minute walking distance, but because it was cold, windy and rainy when we went, it seemed as if we were taking five steps forward and one step back ;p So it was nice to finally go into a warm place, and my first reaction of STK was that it was a pretty snazzy place. We had made a reservation for 18:30, and it was a good job we did because not long after we'd settled down the place started to fill up pretty quickly.
